10/01/01 Ted Wern (aka) DDR Messiah
The last thing I would ever do is nominate myself for "Freak of the Week", but Alex started the vote to make it so.....The response was nice and I got a few letters and posts that stick out the most...... Here they are.....and thanks again guys for making me this weeks "Freak of the Week".

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to discuss an issue that I feel shouldnt be
overloked one bit and Im pritty sure youll all agree. Ted is an awesome guy! "Hi Ted"
Marcal and I were discussing a little while ago how we first met
and how when we met him we had a total different assumption of
what we thaught we should expect from him. But not only did he
wow us with his personality and entraprenurish ways in blowing
DDR Up to its full potential....he has grown into one of our
biggest friends whom we aill NEVER forget.
Ted I know sooner or later you are gonna see this
post....well here goes what I want to say.
I think TED should be this weeks "Freak of the Week"
Without him, there would be NO FYE, NO CREW, NO MDDRL, No
SITE, and more importantly for me....NO GREAT FRIEND!
I know what youre all thinking, "What a kiss up, blahblah
blah!" Guess what, anybody who is thinking that is dead WRONG!
I say this from the bottom of my heart and I wish to ask
everyone of you who read this to reply and vote TED freak of the
week because if we dont he would never ultimatly get the credit
he deserves as A TRUE DDR FREAK!
TED you rock and I wrote this because you deserve it man

I was thinking the same thing when I signed onto here ater
reading a certain tidbit of news.... one which I think should
definitely put the icing on the (ice cream? :) ) cake:

Apparently, the DDR Messiah himself has been charged with a
quest.  A sacred quest.  He is to begin to go and preach the
greatness of DDR to another group of people, not so very unlike
us, who are in need of his guidance.  Although he is our leader,
he still must follow the even greater call which guides him...
and which will take him north.... north to a land known as...
Connecticut.

You see, my fellow disciples of Ted-ism, our Messiah is to travel
to yet another FYE, to instruct them in the sacred way of
FYEDDR.  He has been given the instructions to go to this land,
and construct a temple much like ours... a temple to the
greatness that is DDR.

Now I know it will trouble our hearts to hear that our wondrous
leader is going forth from us, but he shall return, and return
soon.  By his own words, he shall be apart from us for only the
ending of a week, and shall return to us, having sown the seeds
of friendship, dancing, and togetherness, but most of all having
shown those who are in darkness the light of their DDR salvation.

SO, my brothers and sisters, I say YES to Brother Goku's
proposal.  This is a GLARING inconsistency which MUST be
rectified as soon as possible.  For without our DDR Messiah Ted,
our lives would be mere shells of what they are now.  So I say to
all of you, join with myself and Brother Goku!  Vote YES for
Ted!  Yes, my brothers and sisters, we shall give our great
leader what has rightfully been his since the beginning of
FYEDDR.  For although we are the arms and the legs and the body, Ted IS the soul of us all, and we shall rightfully glorify that
soul by naming him the Freak of the Week.   Can I get an "Amen"
from the congregation??????

::blinks a few times::  Damn.  I gotta stop channeling those
Southern Baptist preachers. :)  But seriously, I agree with
Alex.  And especially after hearing about this from Ted.  That's
2 votes so far... :)  Keep 'em comin'! :)

yah i def think ted the
ice cream man...and yah im gonna call u that now Ted XD...Ted
def. rocks...just like the poster says.  There aren't any
owners/managers/arcade werker ppl who have this idea and put this much time into one game...it all started with that one game and then Ted took it to the next level with dance freaks...and he
topped himself with Beatmania.  And just when we didn't think he
could do anymore...he was able to order ddr 4th+ and para para
dancing (wo0t!)  I think if ne one deserves this more so than ne
one else..its Ted. hes the most sweetest, kewlest, funnest most
ne 'est u can think of guy.  yay for ted!

Good Idea!  I think sinbce really there was no one who made DDR Freak of the Weak, and since some people who have already were
once before, Ted definately deserves this.  So Ted you "Eye of the Tiger" guy you are (some of you knwo what I'm talking bout, right Jay?) I think you definately deserve the freak of the week.
